It’s time for the next part of our home tour, the breakfast nook! This space is our main dining area in the house since we are converting the formal dining room into my office. We fell in love with the shiplap walls and the windows surrounding the room. So far we’ve only hosted one holiday here, Thanksgiving, but I had so much fun decorating the table and hanging out in this area!
Our dining table and chairs were the first thing we bought once we moved! We went to Celadon Home’s warehouse in North Charleston and just fell in love! For all you locals- that place is amazing, so much of our furniture is from there. The rug is from Annie Selke, we have the matching runner in the kitchen. And basically, I want all of their rugs.
I still want to change the lights on the wall, the chandelier over the table and am undecided about window treatments. But if there’s one major thing I’ve learned about buying your first home- don’t do everything all at once! My taste has already changed since we moved in and that wasn’t even a year ago! I’m going to continue thinking about the lights and windows (and saving up for them!) there’s no need to rush 🙂
